Airport Parking Options

When traveling to Kansas City, it’s important to be aware of the KCI parking options available. Picking the right airport parking can save you time and money while ensuring your vehicle is safe and secure.

Kansas City International Airport offers a number of airport parking options, including self-parking, valet parking and city lot parking. To find the best option for you, be sure to read the following guide:

Self-Parking

Self-parking is a great way to avoid having to search for a parking spot, and it can also save you time. If you’re looking for a place to park near your destination, be sure to check out self-parking options first. Many businesses offer self-parking, and many cities have designated areas where you can park your car. Some businesses require you to pay before entering the lot, while others allow you to park without paying if there is space available. Make sure that you know the terms of the agreement before driving into the lot.

Valet Parking

If you prefer not to park yourself, valet service can take care of everything for you. Valet parking is available at both the main terminal building and the international wing. The fee for valet service ranges from $11 to $21 per night depending on the time of day and type of vehicle being parked (sedan, SUV, boat etc.). Note that there is no self-parking near the international wing valet area.

City Lot Parking

If self-parking is not an option, or you don’t want to spend money on parking, Kansas City International Airport also offers city lot parking. The lot is located next to the terminal building and costs $9 per day. You can also purchase a 3-month pass for $30.

How to Find a Spot?

Finding a parking space at Kansas City International Airport can be difficult, but not impossible.

To find a parking space, start by looking for the pay-and-display spots near the airport terminals. These spaces are usually available early in the morning and during busy times, so you may have to park blocks away from the terminal.

If those spots are full, or you don’t want to pay, try circling the airport lot until you find a spot that opens. If all the open spaces are at the outermost periphery of the lot, consider circling again. When all of your options seem exhausted, search for metering zones where time limits apply. In general, pay close attention to traffic signs and obey time limits if they exist.
