Unfortunately, your typical electric pump still consumes energy from your utility company’s power supply. The point used by most residential landscaping pumps is comparable to that used by a standard table lamp. Even so, this is a significant amount of energy for something primarily for aesthetic purposes. You can save a lot of water and reduce your lawn’s carbon footprint by combining a pond and pool with such a solar pump. In addition to that, they look fantastic!
