Benefits of a Solar Fountain

Installing an outdoor water fountain is one factor that brings life to your backyard. In addition to providing a source of clean water for small birds and other creatures, they’re a beautiful sight to behold. As far as complaints go, it’s mainly about power cords. It is necessary to have an electrical outlet to run a water fountain. Hence, what’s the remedy? A solar fountain is a remedy!

Know where you are

You can place your fountain anywhere without dealing with a tangle of cords. Do you know how the completion of your yard has been screaming for something? Now you don’t have to be concerned about a long electric line trying to hide in the grass when you install a fountain or an environmentally friendly bird bath in that unused space.

Conserving power

Hot tubs, sprinklers, and drinking fountains can significantly jack up your utility bills and energy costs. Switching to a photovoltaic rush eliminates the need for the energy consumption that a traditional fountain would require. Stylish but still bright.

Aware of the environment

Modern society places a high value on reducing our environmental impact while conserving energy. What’s the harm? Even something as insignificant as a drinking fountain qualifies. It doesn’t seem like much, and if everyone switched to solar-powered models, wouldn’t that reduce the carbon footprint significantly?

The lack of a cord

Keep an eye on the electric cables, ensure they’re safe and don’t pose a tripping risk to people inside the yard while running the fountain. Going cordless, also known as using a solar fountain, eliminates this problem.

There’s No Outlet Required

Even though it’s linked to the location and battery-powered points, it should still be mentioned on its own. An outdoor drinking fountain has its drawbacks, such as finding a suitable place for it while being close enough to an outlet. You could shoot the ball a long piece of cord around your yard, but then who wants to? Even more so when you could avoid it all in the first place. It’s time to go solar and to save yourself the headaches.

A Long-Term Solution for a Long-Term Garden

Contrary to popular belief, water feature experts say installing ponds, pools, and geysers can help save water in the long run. A typical lawn requires about 1.5 to 2 inches of water per week to keep it lush and green. If you live in a dry area that requires a lot of additional watering to keep grass alive, that can quickly add up. A five-headed sprinkler can pump out 30 gallons of water per minute to fill a body of water or reflecting pool.

That said, there’s an upside to flowing water as well—in comparison to stagnant water. A pond or pool’s water is less appealing to mosquitoes and less likely to grow algae, both of which can cause the water to appear cluttered and muddy. Unfortunately, your typical electric pump still consumes energy from your utility company’s power supply. The point used by most residential landscaping pumps is comparable to that used by a standard table lamp. Even so, this is a significant amount of energy for something primarily for aesthetic purposes. You can save a lot of water and reduce your lawn’s carbon footprint by combining a pond and pool with such a solar pump. In addition to that, they look fantastic!
